Evangaline is a mom of three boys living in Thoreau, New Mexico. For years, water was something that she would wake up in the morning and pray about. Her and her family lived without running water in their home. She said “It is something that we look forward to as parents and we want the good things for our children like that [water].” With the help of DigDeep’s Navajo Water Project, Evangaline and her kids finally received clean, hot & cold running water in their home. Now, with the turn of the tap, Evangaline can safely cook, bathe her children, or give them a glass of water without worry – or spending hours hauling water or carefully rationing to ensure her family’s daily needs are met. Now, she said, “to see it happen, to live it, it’s a prayer being answered”.
